Our Progress

Five years after creating its action plan, the Shared Mobility Collaborative commissioned researchers
from the University of Minnesota’s Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs to study the group’s progress and determine how well the plan has been implemented.

Both a two-page progress report at-a-glance and a full progress report are available.

Our Purpose

The Minnesota Shared Mobility Collaborative is a group of transportation leaders, public agencies, private companies, city officials, and nonprofit organizations working together to increase shared mobility options across the state.

Originally formed to implement the Twin Cities Shared Mobility Action Plan, which was developed to increase the transportation options in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area, the group expanded to a statewide focus in 2023.

The Collaborative explores a range of topics, including shared mobility funding opportunities, micromobility parking, mobility hubs, right-of-way uses, and bike and carshare programs.

View the Collaborative’s charter (PDF) for more on the group’s mission, background, and structure.
